Pontianak. Australian Education Centre (AEC) lead by Ibu Josephine Ratna Surabaya make one day visit to my office at Pontianak Post heaquater at Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The AEC itself consist of Ratu SoviArinta and Lucia Wulansari, MBT from Australian Trade Commission, Australian Government, Darren Turner, International Admissions Officer, from Flinder University, and others.

The AEC team was delivering a short presentation about study in Australia and Australian Scholarships as well. Australian Scholarships is an initiative of the Australian Government to promote sustainable development in education in the Asia-Pacific region. Over five years the number of education awards for the Asia-Pacific region will double to 19.00.

The scholarships will also provide educational, research and professional development opportunities to support growth in the Asia-Pacific region and to build enduring links as the individual,institutional and country level. The schollarships is also a whole-of-government approach to education cooperation between Australia and teh countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The initiative brings under one umbrella three Australian Government education award programmes managed by teh Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Department of Education Science and Training (DEST).

AEC JAKARTA VISITS TO MY OFFICE

Pontianak. Australian Education Centre (AEC) Jakarta visited to Pontianak, West Kalimantan to deliver presentation a short presentation about study in Australia and Australian Scholarships as well. This time the AEC Jakarta did not send the squads as the AEC Surabaya did a few months ago. The AEC Jakarta sends Siska Wiliyhana, MBA, Australian Schollarships Promotion officer to conduct the presentation.

Australian Scholarships is really open to all people in Indonesia, and that is an initiative of the Australian Government to promote sustainable development in education in the Asia-Pacific region. Baru baru ini saya sebagai salah satu Official Champion Kang Guru Radio English (KGRE) diberi kesempatan untuk mendampingi Kevin Dalton, Project Manager KGRE (Kang Guru Radio English) yang mengadakan serangkaian kegiatan di kota Pontianak, 16-18 Nopember 2007. Kegiatannya antara lain mengunjungi mahasiswa Jurusan Bahasa Inggris Akademi Widya Dharma (ABA) Pontianak, LarTee English Course, LPM RRI - Pro 2 Pontianak, SMU Santo Paulus dan terakhir mengadakan MINI WORKSHOP di SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak.
